Tremble, all ye computer circuits....
I am quaking in my boots. My Palm calendar won't open -- the error has to do with personal ID info, not the program, so I'm trying an update to see if that will work.
I only use the desktop feature right now -- haven't used a handheld in years, it's not in budget since the last died. I sure hope I haven't lost my address book and calendar.
I will be /unhappy/.

Forgetting that unless certain switches are flipped, Palm will pull and overwrite.
This is why I am not trusted with matches, on bad days. I am contemplating my next move. If I could recognize the dictionary, I would duplicate it elsewhere before doing anything else. I think the data files should be backed up on my IOmega.
First, I will try and dup the directory. Then, I am considering uninstalling the new software, reinstalling the original software and the upgrade (which I have on disk) and trying to reinstall the data from the other file.
This is the thoughtful "No, my foot through the monitor won't help a thing" response....
