Take a look at Tree's comment--fortunately, this is industry, NOT regular knitters.

I have a scrap garment I treasure--my MIL made a bed jacket for me, the silliest thing you've ever seen. But I can sit in bed without freezing or wearing a robe or sweatshirt over my relaxation clothes! Don't read in bed much anymore, but I wouldn't trade that jacket for any gorgeous knit.
