I've never ordered/shipped that much in perscription drugs but I have walked over the border into Mexico, bought that much with my parents and walked back.
I'd almost reccomend catching a Southwest super-saver flight to Harlingen ($99), catching a taxi to the border (about $20-$40), walking over the bridge ($5), eating a great meal (about $25), buying your drugs, walking back across and catching a taxi back (another about $20-$40).
I know people who do this every six months.
My parents live in the Valley and drive over about once a month or so to get theirs.
It's outrageous that we have to do this, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
