It's how hot?

You know the heat is just unreasonable when you see honey bees lined up to drink out of your bird bath . . . and a second row behind them waiting their turn.

Why aren't they around the entire rim? Two guesses -- the trail leads to where a sister has already been drinking, and they're leaving room for the occasional bird.

There is also a holding pattern of fly-bys.

yes, there is the strangest cricket bove my desk now. It is probably only the angle and my glasses needing cleaning but it looks like the cross between an ant and a cricket. I think the bugs are coming in for the AC!

This heat is crazy! I'm so ready for it to stop. I walked across the street yesterday to check the mailbox (and it's directly across from our house, so it's not like it's a long distance) and I was having trouble breathing before I got back in the house. It's just so hot and humid!!!

I know the rover ants are interested in the water bowls of the cats.

Uggh!

Maybe you should arrange post office pickup until the heat breaks?
