Evite is clearly The AntiChrist...

First, it was a form of card that no one could figure out how to open the details. Then, when I sent out the reminder to people -- it sent them a link that went to "you have been uninvited to this party and will have to contact the host about la la la".

I immediately pasted in as many as I could remember, and sent a No, we're still here! We hope you will be, too!

If I mention using this stupid thing again, feel free to remind me that the Day of the Dead party invite died several times. My farflung writing associates will think that I can't do a single thing except write good books. (Today, apparently, they'll be right.)

[livejournal.com profile] oliana0 has the right idea. Set up an invite on a web site with numerous ways to make sure these are people you know.

Hey, girl, I'm planning on stopping by. I don't know how long I can stay with work in the morning, but I've made some carmel (leftover from the carmel apples). Unfortunetaly, because I was making if for work people it's got corn syrup in it. And, well, come to think of it, it's got milk too, so I guess it's a Kathi no-no. :(

I'll bring the left over apples though.

I have milk when I'm bad...

...but not this close to a convention. Got to be good to the system!

Others will love it, I'm sure. I have a variety of apples here -- galas, macs. grannies, pinova, ambroisa -- good stuff.

I know a few folk who are diabetic are coming, so want a few things they can handle no problem --
