Pull the other one, it's got bells...
So I get a small catalog from Crate&Barrel, not the wide and tall ones they normally send. It's called Everyday Best Buys. With an elegant green and white patterned sheet set on a nice contemporary wood bed.
Inside, the prices say "Best Buy $xx.xx" in red ink, against white background, black type and cool pictures echoing the cover -- even the gray toned items have a hint of green in them.
Never mind that no one in their right mind would pay these prices for things, unless they either won the lotto or are buying for very good friends.
Crate&Barrel -- I used to go there to buy cool things at great prices. Like an upscale Pier 1. Now I go to window shop.
It still has entertainment value, while stirring dinner...

But linens? Yowch. Target and Ikea are cheap ... everywhere else is just nuts!

Land's End so far has the highest quality linens I've found. Not the towels, necessarily, but the sheets. I still like the patterns, and they're still holding up, years later.

L&T and BB&B take each others coupons and those bring the prices down to normal.....sometimes they have even let me use expired ones.....

Yes, I do that, too. It helps a lot -- and sometimes CC do a deal with them that really drops the price on one item. Got my Kitchen Aid that way.
