Censored! The ten big news stories the national news media ignore.

http://www.sfbg.com/38/49/cover_censored.html

From this article:

"Every year researchers at Project Censored pick through volumes of print and broadcast news to see which of the past year's most important stories aren't receiving the kind of attention they deserve. Phillips and his team acknowledge that many of these stories weren't "censored" in the traditional sense of the word: No government agency blocked their publication. And some even appeared – briefly and without follow-up – in mainstream journals.

But every one of this year's picks merited prominent placement on the evening news and the dailies' front pages. Instead they went virtually ignored."

If all these stories are true, we are gonna be in a world of hurt....

I was fairly familiar with half the issues, especially the environmental and scientific ones. They drew a lot of ink from the specialized press if not the general, and constitute two of the reasons why I won't be voting to reelect Bush.

Yes--

I don't know if the alternative will be any better, but I don't think it will be worse--and I think another four years in the current direction could take the rest of our lives to fix.... So I will be voting, and it won't be for Bush.

Not that it will do me much good, in Texas--his daddy still holds too much respect.

Unless that lost year info finally hits the major press. But even that might not help down here..... I thought being a conservative meant not getting involved in anyone else's business, limiting government-- Read something recently that said The Terminator may think he's Republican, but he's a Nixon Republican--and people aren't electing many of them to office anymore. Shrub Junior Republicans are an entirely different kettle of fish.
