Malaga review--

Just reporting in that W and I attended Stage One of [livejournal.com profile] silona's birthday, at Malaga on 4th Street. Lovely little place! Good food, good wine, lovely atmosphere, and our wait person, although new, was very attentive and handled my questions about ingredients with no problems.

Rumor has it they don't have very good mixed drinks, but the wine makes up for that! Also--the music was a little loud, made hearing at a table of 8 difficult.

It is a tapas bar, and I didn't see anything under $5.75 in price, so dinner would be pricy--but for something totally different, I can recommend it!

Of course, I don't know that you would have the quality company we had, with Josh, [livejournal.com profile] mhat, Heather, Ray, W and myself as bookends to the fabulous birthday girl, who was treating us with the wine.

They were off to another restaurant for their next stage, but W and I went dancing at http://www.austinballroomdancers.org. Three boleros while we were there, yes! Two with my sweetie, and one with RF, who is an AWESOME dancer (professional instructor) and I had a blast.

Now my right shoulder is crap again, of course, but not because of W or RF--I suspect it was someone's move Thursday night that got me. I just have to give up dancing with the fellow...and see the doc again Weds.
