You know my nifty silver streak in the front? That's where I don't dye my hair! If you just have some silver peeking out here and there, you won't need nearly the work that mine does.
And as far as I'm concerned, this is one place where the tradeoff (money vs. doing it myself) is SO worth it. My hairdresser charges $80 for a dye job and cut, and I need a touch-up about once every 2 months. You could probably go 3 once the initial full-length silver is covered. If I tried to do it in the shower, it would cost far more than $80 worth of aggravation and mess!
