FYI -- Take Care Medical Services in AZ

They don't do injections. I will go forth with priceless treasure (5 vials of medicine) in search of a retired nurse whose hands don't shake.

People tell me vacations are to relax. Not mine. Working trips are a lot easier....

One of my neighbors is an ER nurse, and he is quite good at his job.

Have you tried craig's list?

Maybe a free Clinic?

Wish you lived in Tucson!

Boy, that's a thought -- I'll investigate when I get there, probably -- running out of time today --

When will you be here? We'll be out of town the 24th-27th, but here otherwise. "Here" being 20 miles SE of town mostly, but on the 27th and 28th, in Green Valley.

My mom's friend was an MD in Mexico--now he runs a couple of care facilities in Green Valley. If all else fails, maybe he would know someone.

Are you in Tucson now? Until when? Want to do lunch or something?

Also, if it's any help, I can give you the number of my doctor's office, though I've no idea what the insurance situation would be.

Is there a home health care service in the area your can call? They're usually for the elderly or homebound, but maybe they can help you.

I'm heading to Tucson tomorrow, and will leave again the 31st. Lunch or something would be lovely -- we can have the conversation we didn't get at my party! ;^) Send along your phone and the email you prefer -- I will have a cell that I don't think the SFWA address book has. Family will have some of my attention, but my sibs won't show until the weekend, so there will be time to write, to lay by the pool (depending on air temp) and to get my shot on Friday. A free clinic might be good -- if my specialist can send me another Rx, I thought I left the Rx in my ice pack, but it's not there. Bother.

Will send another note with info --

That might work -- I will take a stab at it when I get to Tucson. Thanks, I'm not at my best right now.

I don't know anyone in Tuscon. Drat! I hope you find someone with a steady and gentle hand.

From your mouth to God's ears....

I'll come in tomorrow (18th) and leave the 31st. That might make a visit possible! Do you want to escape the farm, or have visitors? I will have family around, but hope to pinch the car a few times.

[livejournal.com profile] ferragus has gaming friends in Tucson with parental units in the medical field. We're going to try and track down an RN that way first. I know offices/Urgent care places are very nervous about liability, but if they know how to give a shot, and are willing to humor me on ways to ease the pain (one every three days is real incentive to find things that help the pain...) this should not be rocket science.

This month has been living in the twilight zone. Praying for some calm and TLC for a few weeks.

But will miss my boys! It's so cold; I hope my carefolk remember to heat up their rice sacks.
