Your post made it to my tech list -- I almost didn't go over there, since right now I can't eat pasta or nightshades! ;^) But someone's comment made me stop by, and I had to stay to read. I know several writers and editors who lived through 9-11 -- one watched the towers fall from her office window, and lost 12 friends in them that day.

It's our Pearl Harbor -- if we are blessed, we will never live through anything worse. But it is a reminder that the best of America rivals the best of anywhere else, and it's something that we can share worldwide.

Did you know that the concept of Habitat For Humanity was completely foreign when we went into Eastern Europe with the program? Americans are the most generous people in the world. But we get mean when we're frightened, and we have to remember that. We have to keep exporting the best of America in the decades to come, the intangibles that make people want to come here.

Oh -- there is a wonderful hypnotherapy called EMDR that you should look into -- it works extremely well helping with PTSD. I highly recommend it. Find a certified practitioner to help you put the nightmares into memories and lessons instead of monthly events.
