Two of my friends list have posted this, a link I found on a blog a couple days ago. Yes, I laughed out loud--as one friend said, and I paraphrase: "This is working class Jersey striking back." It is hysterical--and the links are VERY informative.

But for many people this is very much For Mature Audiences only. Since younger fans of my Alfreda books might find this journal, here is the disclaimer:

I would also add that the Northern states are sending more than their fair share to Iraq, and that our police and fire departments are suffering badly for it. From the Bangor Daily News, March 28, 2004:

One third of the state's guardsmen and women have been called up, making Maine second only to New Hampshire in the percentage of deployment from a single state in the United States, according to Brig. Gen. John Libby, Maine's adjutant general and commissioner of the Maine Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management.

Yeah--

I could do DAR and Mayflower Compact, too--and also am Native American.

People better not give me any crap about not being a true American....unlike a lot of people, I don't have any other place to go.
