**Sigh**

It's raining.

1"-3" per hour. We're up to three leaks in the addition--nothing to do with the new work, all old areas. This roof was supposed to be a year old--AND we sealed it just to make sure. And cleaned the gutters (which are working like troopers--the hot tub may float away any minute now...)

Of course this is over my files and the computer.

There is no mood emoticon for "wet"---AAICKK! I justed realized the back of my chair was catching a lot of water.

I'm up to six buckets. This was supposed to end by midnight.

It has one minute to stop. Then I complain to the NWS.

At least I've finished and printed the synopsis class notes and synopses samples for Panda*Monium this weekend. Yay, me!

Tarp time.

Up to ten buckets.

I'm so tired my eye is twitching.

Going to eat something (blood sugar crash is not pretty) and hope there's a lull so the roofer can get up on the roof--there ain't a lot he can do right now.

Need to go change my access point so I can blog from the convention if I choose...

My word--roof leaks? After all the work you've had done? I'd be weeping, despite the fact that tears would only add to the overall water burden.

Here's wishing that it stops soonest.

This is one of those "being strong for the other" situations. As W said, "One of those times where we can't do a thing." We tried laughing when we could, and being efficient about buckets when we couldn't. And tried not to worry about cash flow.

My body ain't fooled...
