Does anyone else really want to bitch slap the Butterfingers Snackers girls?

Is anyone else offended by the GoDaddy ads and slowly moving their business elsewhere?

Is anyone else appalled by the header "Faithful Companion Wanted" on the Facebook ad for a site called "Seniorpeoplemeet.com". No, living alone looks very good at this moment, thanks, and this ad reinforces it.

I've, to the best of my knowledge ... never seen a Godaddy ad or Butterfinger snackers ad. But there, our cable connection is hooked up to the computers and not to the TV. Haven't seen the faithful companion heading on facebook to notice - wonder what algorithm is choosing them for you.

Well, I will be dumping all the cable I can (some is in the lease, alas, and cannot be refused) so if I end up watching Comedy Central on the Internet, maybe the ads are better.

I don't know why I would get those Facebook ads, unless I typed something that gave them the words. A friend was talking about meeting people, dating and self-improvement, and we were all being encouraging and making suggestions. That may be why it's showing up. If so, if should go away soon. Or I will tell it to go away. It's not funny, if it's a joke, and if it's a joke, it's not my kind of humor.

It's hard enough to find interesting people to date without playing Internet Roulette!

Those repulsive Butterfinger ads join an all-too-large category, mostly filled by light beer commercials, from which the only message I get is, "People who like this product are total jerks. You can become one too!" No, thank you.

Actually I just want to slap Butterfinger manufacturer for finding a way to demean people with a southern accent as being dumb and carrying on a stereotype. Way to go!

Yes, that was part of what I hated about that commercial. I hate the bitchy girls as popular selling tools, and I hate going for the cheap laugh with a southern accent.

It gets very old.

The latest GoDaddy commercial suggests that the hired spokeswoman (who is a successful professional race car driver) is probably naked, or close to it, for the latest ad. She's refusing to do it, and is reminded that she contractually has to do what they ask. I'd fire that manager's *** in a New York minute if he let a clause like that slip through. Obviously, I didn't find it funny at all, but there you are, takes all kinds.

1) I have no idea what you're talking about, and from the sound of the comments, I don't want to.

2) Yeah, GoDaddy keeps pushing it. I used to think the name was just an attention-grabber, but now I suspect it's a reflection of the way the people who run it actually think.

3) Oh fuck yeah. "Find Your Cowboy" is just as bad. I don't know why I'm getting those either; my profile says I'm in a domestic partnership (hence should not be part of their target market). I vote them down with extreme prejudice.
