Frustrating....

I have health insurance costs laid to one side, because I didn't make enough to deduct them. I did donate new copies of my novels to the local library, since the originals were stolen. Now I find out that a new copy of Fire Sanctuary is available for $125, and Hidden Fires can be had on-line for $688.

This is the unfair part of being a writer. I don't think the IRS would buy this as a deduction. I'm also wondering if the library sold the one I gave them, since they could use money like that. I carefully did NOT sign them.

Nah, thanx, I already donated the new ones. I get to list it as a charity donation, giving it to a library. But there are all kinds of ways of doing that. There's no place for "Well, I was going to just put down $10 a book, but that seems a tad silly now...."
