I'm letting my 15 year old TV rest, but the horizontal control seems to be going out. I wasn't planning on getting a new TV right now (laptop first) so am wondering about a) buying a used TV (CRTs may live 4eveR) or b) getting the new larger screen monitor now, and plugging it into my cable box.

Will the latter work?

Dunno if you can, but you can get a CRT for free/$25 on Craigslist.

Will it work with a DVR?

I have two months to go on this place, and cable is included, so it's money flushed down the drain. How large? Can I move it myself?

It is a 27" TV without a HD converter box-- but if your other TV was also old, you should be able to use that converter. It's bulky and a little heavy. And it has to go somewhere!

Hum. Mine was a 25", so not positive it will fit in hole in credenza. But I suspect the credenza is going to leave when I put stuff in storage -- it's just not useful anymore to me. So let's say I'll take it, and we'll figure out logistics this weekend! Or at Odd Friday? Probably needs the back seat of car?

I'll set it on a side table if necessary, and unplug on massage nights! Many thanks for the offer!
