Hollywood has made One For the Money into a movie, coming out January 27th.

Looks like Lula is now a character starting from Story One, which makes sense. I've seen the trailer once, and my only complaint is, why isn't Morelli a young George Clooney?

I've been slacking off and not going to the movies, but I see a matinee in my future.

I need an exploding car icon for this movie....

Yay! I like Katherine Heigl: she'll be a good Steph. But I am with you on Morelli. (And where is Ranger's ponytail?)
And Debbie Reynolds as Grandma Mazur. That's going to be a lot of fun.

Yeah, the Ranger guy looked good enough, but they went for what is currently popular, I think -- forgetting that a lot of guys still come back from the military, and the one thing they do at first is grow out their hair.

Katherine should make an excellent Steph, and Sherri a good Lula. I thought that was Debbie Reynolds! I bet she had a lot of fun with this. I tended to see Grandma as more decrepit, but having a more glamorous gramdma opens up lots of possibilities to annoy her son-in-law.

I'll give the Morelli guy a chance, but I'm glad you thought it was slightly off, too. I just always pictured a Clooney type Morelli -- good looking but a little worn down by a decade of womanizing and the hard life of being a cop.

Yes, it looks like it has a lot of potential. And fine female leads, which, given that this is a very female-focused series, is what it needs. I say Grandma as more decrepit, too, but this is one piece of casting that is such fun I can forgive it.
