Joy! Another Patricia Rice novel in Ebook!
I first read Patricia Rice's work while researching to do an interview on her Magic Series. This was back when I was ill enough that I didn't mess with the Joomla interface at Book View Cafe, so for various reasons that interview never was posted.
But I read five great romantic fantasies for my research (haven't cornered the sixth) and discovered an author with a huge back list that I could always count on for an entertaining read. In fact, I just read California Girl last week (recommended!)
Pat's latest ebook reprint is Sweet Home Carolina, and as it happens, I've read this one, too. I love how she makes her characters feel very real, even when she's playing fair as far as romance readers are concerned. You will get a Happily Ever After, but the protagonists have to work for it. There will be choices, sacrifices, and fears to be faced -- along with teaching me about a part of the country and an industry I didn't know a lot about.
Here's my blurb for this book --
Frustrated divorcee Amy Warren is striving to fix her life by helping her home town buy the local mill, and then she can put her Plan for the Rest of Her Life into action. Amy’s Plan shatters when European playboy Jean-Jacques St. Etienne arrives with loads of cash, charisma, and expertise, with every intention of buying the mill for its designs and then abandoning the community.
As mild-mannered Amy and dashing Jacques play a cat-and-mouse game that madly leads to love and can only end in heartbreak, their affair affects the existence of an entire town.
With several million books in print and New York Times and USA Today's bestseller lists under her belt, former CPA Patricia Rice is one of romance's hottest authors. Her emotionally-charged contemporary and historical romances have won numerous awards, and been Romance Writers of America RITA® finalists in the historical, regency and contemporary categories.
If you like contemporary romance, give this one a try! Attractively priced at $4.99, DRM-free at Book View Cafe!
