Is it real, or is it...?

A friend gave us a cool little statue of a sitting cat for my eventual labyrinth on the side of the house. It's been sitting on the dining room table among various items. We find it a bit startling--we go looking for cats to corral, and do a double-take at the statue. And we keep doing this, especially when a real cat is sitting next to it!

I may try to get a snap of it, but the distance and twilight is part of the feel--my camera may not take to that detail.

we have a stuffed animal, well worn black kittie. Something in the boneless way it lies on the couch makes it looks real, and not just real, but real like Mariah. So we'll find ourselves avoiding one side of the couch for a couple days, until we realize it's not the cat with sharp pointy end.

Boy, I'd avoid that side of the couch, unless I had my glasses on and was SURE what I was seeing...
