Trapped!
Help!
I am trapped in small town Midwest where AOL keeps sending me back to my mail portal, sans any mail!
And I cut up SOOOoooo many yellow, orange and red peppers yesterday for my niece's graduation party, my arms are saying "You forgot the painkillers, didn't you?"
And now, to pack coolers and head for another small (Okay, 100,000 is not small--and my other sister probably has a reliable Internet connection...) Midwestern town. Rumor has it that my parents are coming in TODAY, not tomorrow--thus blowing the 50th anniversary surprise party!
I thought they'd find out last Sunday, so I'm philosophical about it. B is disappointed, since we kept it so long. But they could have found out in January, so what the hey...

You'd think they had it better, but one is a first grade teacher at a high risk school, and the other is running two teens all over creation, works full time outside the home, the self-employed biz worked out badly for the family, etc. And it looks like the rest of the family do 20% of the needed work to keep the household running. (My perception, and not necessarily correct. I love them all, but it reminds me we didn't help my Mom as much as we should have--and she didn't work outside as well.)
Even with my illness, I suspect I am a lot less stressed....
