Possibly good news....
I've been looking at the actual wording of Prop. #2, and we all know I'm fuzzier than usual, but...have these bigots accidentally invalidated EVERY marriage in Texas? Should this amendment go through?

Firefox didn't like this link, but IE got me to League of Women Voters.
Just wondering...

We actually had a message on our answering machine from some conservative group that was warning us that "liberal, activist judges" could use prop. 2 to invalidate "legitimate" marriages. So even some of the conservatives are against it. I find that very encouraging.

**Sigh.** They control the Executive, Legislative, and pretty much the Judicial portions of our government--with all the chaos and fiscal debauchery the Founding Fathers feared. They control almost all the media, except blogging and The Daily Show. Just who are these "Liberal, activist judges"--that poor Baptist who told Terri's parents they couldn't keep coming back with the same argument to keep her line from being pulled? Who was tossed out of his church for doing his job?
I keep telling myself the backlash should be interesting...

Our only hope is if the religious right figure out they were used. Of course, they'll be looking for a better candidate to "legislate from the Oval Office"....

I got one of those calls, too--the www.savetexasmarriage.com site is a far-right site. Fascinating, all of it. I'm not married, so I was just voting against bigotry (and the polygamists in West Texas... ;^) )
A friend of mine says people get the government they deserve. I don't deserve this!
