An interesting tidbit...
This was from an article about the unrest in France the past three weeks.
"The number of cars burned nightly has steadily decreased from 502 overnight into Saturday, to 374 overnight into Saturday, to 271 as Monday began. A week earlier, 1,400 cars were incinerated in a single night.
On Monday, the Cabinet was to propose a bill allowing an extension of the 12-day state of emergency if needed.
If the downward trend continues, "things could return to normal very quickly," National Police Chief Michel Gaudin said, noting that French youths burn about 100 cars on an average Saturday night."
French youths burn about 100 cars on an average Saturday night?
Perhaps our youth are not as bad as the press would lead us to believe!

All quite worthy endeavors, but kudos for getting settled into your manuscript! This year, what with the Exciting Adventures in Lymeville (TM) my goal is to simply start writing regularly again.
I hope to be like Amy Tan--when the dam breaks, everybody get out of the way. I'll be lucky if I eat--the cats will let me know when they need food.
French Metrics
Re: French Metrics
LOL!
Maybe I'm too Scotch, but I doubt those 100 people losing those cars every Saturday would class it with grafitti. Unfortunately, maybe the kids do?
