Ring Out, Wild Bells...

The wind chimes were busy starting a little after 1 AM, and rang until just recently. They're finally dying down to a soft ring of one or two chimes, as opposed to the entire rank.

Hard not to think of the poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

Wishing you all more joy, more health, and more wealth in 2006!

Oh, lovely. I wasn't aware of that carol. I wrote a post earlier about the another bell carol that I know about, I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, and its haunting wish for a world of peace. Thanks for telling me about this one.

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,

Another wonderful one--and there's also Carol of the Bells, which actually has words. It's so popular as an instrumental, though, that some people don't know that.

Wishing the world a better year--
