99.99% of RFIDs are Read only - no way to get a virus, nor transmit one (unless that's the one that's BUILT to transmit it.)
Data viruses are nothing new - all you have to do is basic data validation to stop them. Everytime there is a new technology that comes out (cell phones, PDAs, thumbdrives, etc) SOMEONE at school that should be studing for finals figures out how to send code through them.
The rest of the article is the "RFIDs will lead to having no privacy." Which is the only thing I agree with, but only because there already is no privacy . These will just make it easier.
Gotta get around to making an RFID jammer/custom broadcaster...
