Sometimes you get the bear --

-- sometimes the bear gets you.

Losing what's left of the grey matter trying to take care of paperwork starting to devour cats -- and a undetected leak in a window frame with a window A/C unit in it.

There are days I think about burning down the addition, even if I love it the other days.

It's #$%^%#!@ ninety-somthin out there! It was 100 yesterday! This is WRONG -- It's #$^#@ April, for heaven's sake! It's supposed to be a high of 80! The tomatoes are growing like weeds and NOT setting blossoms! The rover ants have invaded and taken the walls hostage! (ABC has just baited -- the rovers're acting like bubbas at a "free beer" sign....)

The good news is -- taxes done, 2005 taxes paid, first estimated paid, and found a list about ten days old where everything except one thing is COMPLETE. This is good news, because it's hard for me to judge if I'm being normally anxious or seriously, drug-induced anxious.

Bad news is, I want to get back to work on a web site, and first I need ONE -- just one -- piece of paper with notes on it for a contract I'm assembling.

Yup. Can't find it to save my groats. And a client at 4, so must re-assemble the addition after the rover ant-human battle.

%^$#@#$%&*& (Above number swearing is so much more fun than saying swear words. It's just silly how @%^$+@$%&*&@ satisfying it is!)

August flowers for the icon -- because if the temps keep going up from here, nothing will be alive outside by August.

Yeah, the weather is crazy hot... this summer is heading in a nasty direction!

If you (or heck, anyone) needs ant killer, I have a bunch of borax and boric acid -- mix it with whatever the ants like (and if you don't know, peanut butter and sugar are two good baits, I've also used catfood) and ants go bye-bye within two days.

Cheaper than exterminators, and this is the same stuff they use. The fun is setting it up so the cats don't eat it... (though it won't kill 'em if they do).

Ooh, and 2oz orange oil to a gallon of water kills ants on contact... if you can flood the nest to the queen... all gone! Wheee!

I'm a big boric acid fan, myself. We should bring this up to W -- he'd probably like the idea of orange spray, and our budget sure would. Don't want to add to the termite visiting man.

Ouch! Global warming with a vengence. I feel your pain. We had ants in our bedroom one year. *shudders* They were crawling in our noses when we slept.

You know . . . I am just not sure I needed to know this. On the other hand, I see great humor possibilities in this. I think I'll go take a few notes . . . ;^)

I can still wake my husband years later by tapping him on the end of the nose. :)

So he tells me. Frequently. :)

I don't think I needed to know that either. LOL!

The weather lately has been wild.

The weather lately has been wild.

We had rolling blackouts Monday. If we hit triple digits again, we'll have more. the system is under maintenance right now, in prep for June-Sept. They can't give us more power.

Not looking forward to this....
