I just priced a mammogram (screening, not diagnostic) and found out it's $200 in town. I have no daily insurance, only catastrophic. So--if you're a woman, or you love any women at all (mom, sister, spouse, girlfriend, daughter) remember that there are thousands of women who do not have a savings account to grimace about and get a mammogram...and there are tens of thousands who will have no mammogram, unless it is subsidized.
