Waiting to hear....
Aug. 31st, 2005 04:21 amI've heard from writer Darlene Bolesny, who is safe in LaFayette, LA. Ironically, her condo is on the third floor of her building, so it may be all right. But no electricity, no water--New Orleans is not going to be habitable for weeks--months.
Darlene was unable to convince Bob Aspirin to leave with her, although he was weakening in his stance as she left. I hope he's made it to a safe place. Also waiting to hear along the grapevine that Todd Brantley is okay.
It's 4:30 and I'm still up--the insomnia with this treatment is getting worse. Before, I just woke four or five times a night. Now I lay awake for hours until finally falling asleep around this time. So I average 2-4 hours a night. Sleep deprivation is starting to kick in. Time to check with the doctor.
