A garish, purple horse's head made of plastic, with false eyelashes and hair that changes colour has become a surprise festive bestseller after the industry massively underestimated its popularity with little girls.
All over the country parents have been searching frantically for the last few available examples of the Barbie Pegasus Groom & Glam styling head.
The toy - which was not even listed in the Toy Retailers' Association's list of top 10 toys for Christmas - has sold out almost everywhere.
