Mary Cheney's pregnancy blows off the roof of conservative bi-polar behavior. I'm sure many of you have gay, bi or lesbian family and friends. Many of them would make excellent parents. A vocal percentage of the country hates that idea like poison.

The fact that the rising generation sees this as a non-issue - that of course it's biological, and the more you treat it as a common minority, the less flamboyant the behavior of the individuals -- will ultimately take care of this problem, but a lot of laws will need to be rolled back.

In the meantime, a solution has occurred to me, wickedly -- if the Vice-President and Mrs. Cheney adopt Heather, then the sudden loss of her partner will not cause her to lose custody of her child as well.

And we all know that in some rural areas, kissing cousins is a reality, not a joke. So....
