Bullet points for a weekend
Dec. 2nd, 2007 12:35 pmI did not sleep at all last night (or slept in 10 minute bursts, blast it) so W got up and went to meet the people we were going to Burnett with by train. (I find no note otherwise, so that is my guess.) I just hate this -- apparently the 5htp is as crucial to my recovery as the drugs, because for various reasons I forgot the supplements last night.
I have a pile of Xmas catalogs that has passed two feet tall -- and I haven't ordered from a catalog for at least a year, using the Internet sites instead. I walk past it carefully, as it sometimes seems to be eying me and sliding ever-so-carefully to one side....
Maisie is animated. I went over to see what she was so excited about, thinking it was a lizard, and resigned to letting her have this one -- and saw something large and striped disappear. I think there is a snake under the office breakfront. There must be a ledge underneath, since I can see no snake nor feel it with a ruler. I keep trying to convince it that I am a much better choice than Maisie as a finder, but it's scared and not moving. If, when I see it, it is small and striped long like a ribbon, I will try to catch it and put it in the garden. If it has horizontal stripes, I will be call
tia_tarina for snake retrieval. I hope it snuck under the garage door and down into the office. This is preferred -- otherwise there's a hole someplace large enough for a snake!
Good thing Inky and
bevhale aren't here. To say they don't like snakes is an understatement.
Re-planted several plants in the wee hours Saturday am. Have more potting soil, and will try to re-pot everything else, along with finishing caulking. The next scene calls, but must do things before I forget -- like new weatherstripping for the front door. (Very hard weatherstripping up there -- probably from the house being built perhaps 30 years ago.)
