Jobs or Scams?

Does anyone know anything about a shift either in the scamming market, or the IT market, for hiring? I ask because I have waited two years for hits on one job thread/listing. Now that I really can't think about taking this tech job, HR people are coming out my ears. We are not talking the heyday amounts of a hit per day, but an inquiry every other day.

The ones out of area are easy to politely say "No, thank you" to, but I was curious if it's happening to anyone else right now.

Yeah, I know -- convention report soon.

I think there's just an upturn in the cash tech companies have right now. There's actually tech writing jobs right now.

It would be nice if I could concentrate long enough to interview, but after thinking I was fine to go to dance, and then being unable to remember what the instructor just told me, I must admit that a solid interview is a problem.

On the other hand, a did a new synopsis for the third Allie book, and emailed it to my agent. Even a week later, it looks good -- minor things I should amplify. I hope he gets it to the correct editor this week. I have a fond dream of being in the stack she takes home for the holidays...

Haven't been on the market, so haven't been getting any of those.

Tangentially, you either already know about this bill & its drawbacks, or you might be interested in this: http://sheilagh.livejournal.com/227589.html

thanks --
