ConDFW this weekend

Is anyone in Austin or points south going to the convention in Dallas this weekend? I'm looking for a ride, or someone who would like to share the rental of a car. I was originally planning to drive up Friday AM and back Sunday afternoon, but W says he doesn't think he can leave until Saturday, and that's too late. My car is not to be trusted. I could leave as early as Thursday night, if needed.

No, because I didn't think she would be over this way -- it is out of the way for her. But I should ask, in case she is over here now for some reason.

Hi sweetie. We're staying with folks at their house during the con. I do have 2 ideas for you though: 1)Cloud and Randi wanted to go to the con, but couldn't afford a hotel room by themselves- they have transportation as well and Cloud is on spring break now. 2) 1minnesota girl could come with you. Might perk her up as well. Hope that helps some. Call me later today and we'll figure out stuff.

R is also going, and has room for me. I would say all of us should go together, but since we don't know R that well, I don't know if sharing a room with partnered folk would bother her.

And part of me says, damn it, I'm older than I look -- why am I still sleeping on floors? I should ask 1MG if she wants to go, too. But then I'm asking without a car to offer -- although I have a room! (A king, I'd better change that...)

Author Rie Sheridan and I will travel together, thus saving money and averting boredom or sleepiness! Wish you were coming down -- I'm doing SoonerCon for sure, Conestoga I hope.

Better get back to writing! (Someone is reroofing or something -- the steady pounding is driving me nutso.)
