Weakening here about the alternative treatment for LBb. I know it has worked wonders for a lot of people--and it is helping me, but at about the same level as all my being REALLY careful about nutrition, etc. has done.

The hands worsen, and the job market hasn't picked up. So, finding a non-massage job doesn't look great.

Continued re-reading NIGHT CALLS and now KINDRED RITES today. Wow...they're good. Doesn't that sound silly? But when you haven't been able to create for a long time, the realization that you previously could tell a good story, with style, etc. becomes very important. It becomes...not simply proof that you did it before, you can do it again--it's like a small lantern hanging out there somewhere, lit like a small star. Or a lodestone. I can touch it as I pass by, certain that I've been this way before and I can find my way back again.

I've often felt that fantasy/SF/Horror writers are mapmakers, taking readers places they've never been before and then leading them back out again. Maybe this time I get to lead myself there and back again....

Good thoughts and prayers headed yoru way from Boston.

I know you can do whatever you set your mind to. Just follow that light and trust in your talent, you'll find your path and wonder how you could ever have thought you lost it.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Got your Multiply report--I'm impressed, you're learning to use it already! A friend is posting recipes and pics... LJ is apparently adding a photo feature, too.

I'm glad helping with the table seems to be getting you more contacts with people. You can introduce me to the newer authors next time! %^)

Have fun--
