Not Yet!

I went outside into a delicately warm night to dump some dried up blackberries into the compost box, and as I turned to go back into the office, I heard...one lone cricket slowly testing his legs.

I am not ready for summer, thank you very much.

But it was a glorious day, and tonight is almost perfect. I see a walk on the horizon.

mmmmm....a walk does sound good, as gorgeous as it was today. I think I am going to try and reclaim a flower bed in the back yard...maybe I will start tomorrow.

I'm going to find my gardening notes. It's rose time! (Late, but one cannot push the SO before he's ready to demolish the side yard...)

The only thing currently in the aforementioned flower garden is an old-fashioned rose bush. It is woefully neglected, but when it blooms -- several times a year -- it is a riot of lovely little roses...

Cherish it -- it's survived without attention. Think how great it can be if you mulch it every year!
