Yes, I know, I am supposed to be sorting stuff...

But I'm so far behind, just missing two days, and important things were posted...

Of course, I also have to share the "Kewel" posts! [livejournal.com profile] clouds_looming has passed along this wonderful link. My friends [livejournal.com profile] dragonherder1, [livejournal.com profile] mongo42 and [livejournal.com profile] tia_tarina are building a Tardis, because Tia has always wanted one. Obviously, someone in Japan felt the same way about Landwalkers!

I'm not sure we should let [livejournal.com profile] madspark know about this...he gets into enough mischief without added inspiration.

Ooo yeah, I've seen this before. Sadly, my garage is far too small.

And it doesn't so much walk as "shuffle like a decrepit old man" -- I would want mine to pick up it's feet; but that requires either some monster wide feet (lame); a honking gyro in the body (meh); or lateral hip action (complex!).

And it's got this jerkiness of binary hydraulics; needs some inline compliance, or at least rate control and some fly-by-wire computers inline to smooth it out (which would be a given, for dynamic balance).

Hmmmm....

Maybe next year.

Yes, I saw the limitations.

But it's only the Beta version. ;^)
