The Bayeaux Tapestry as seen by the women who embroidered it...

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sartorius who passed this along from [livejournal.com profile] gillpolack. I hear a little LOTR and Carmina Burana in there -- anyone else recognize things?

There's a tiny bit of the Mars movement from Holst's THE PLANETS early on, and a theme from the GLADIATOR soundtrack.

Ah, Holst -- that's what I was looking for, thanks. Haven't seen GLADIATOR yet.

That's cool! There's just a bit of "Mars, the Bringer of War" from The Planets right before the LOTR segment. A couple of other things that I know I've heard but can't identify, probably other movie themes.

I didn't like this. It was jerky and awkward unlike the tapestry itself.

I know what you mean -- amateur production values. But some of it flowed well for me, so I will cut them some slack for this attempt.

You can leave a note for the creator at YouTube -- just search on Bayeaux Tapestry. Tell them a good try, now do Version 2.0 with no jerkiness!
