Remember my tee shirt?

The one that ends "....makes me feel like a nutbar conspiracy theorist." ?

We're not out of the woods.

I think it's time to start writing to our reps and senators -- pointing out that Bush and Cheney no longer NEED their permission for ANYTHING.

I love my country and the Constitution that makes it unique in the world.

I fear my government.

And you should, too....

This is news? I've been saying this for years and am surprised it didn't happen in 2006.

The one hope we have is the military. They need it to enforce their police state, and they've alienated it seriously. We may see a military coup rather than the Bushista coup that's been set up.

Yes, it's scary. It's been scary since that bastard stole the presidency.

Actually, no. Since 1994 when the wingnuts came into power and immediately started witch-hunting the Clintons.

And people say we were exaggerating....

I think you're right. I think most of the military knows they are fighting for the Constitution, not the administration. The current head of operations (not Gates -- I don't think Gates would go along with this -- the current General) is a wee bit iffy, though.

He's been picked for loyalty, I'm sure. We just have pray the lower echelons remember that they're sworn to uphold the Constitution, not the dictator, and refuse to follow orders.

I believe that he will try to make himself president for life. Otherwise all this abrogation of power doesn't make sense. He is not planning to let it go, and certainly not to a Democrat. Because, as we all know, when it's a Democrat doing all of these things, it's the coming of the Antichrist.

Whenever I talk with someone about this, and they don't see the problem (usually the "Bush is a good Christian" types down here) all I have to say is: "So you won't have a problem with, say, Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama having these powers?" to REALLY get their attention.

I was surprised they didn't declare martial law before the 2006 elections when they saw the way things were going. Now tey're getting really desperate -- they know that if they lose control of the White House (and, more importantly, the Justice Department) that they're all going to jail for a long, long time. I'm keeping a very close eye on them and am continuing to harangue my congresscritters, for all the good that will do since they're Dubya drones. I'm bugging Reid, Pelosi, and Doggett as well.

They'll be pardoned. Right now, all I care about is saving the Constitution and this country.

Let history dissect and crucify them.

It will.

Prosecuting them during this administration is pretty much a lost cause. I'm relying on the next, Democratic administration to haul them to the woodshed. No pardons will come from there.
