Is anyone else not receiving email notification of responses to posts and comments? Mine have dried up. I catch the ones on my own site, but I can't hope to catch ones on other LJ pages.
I think I'm confused -- you mean there's a way to receive email about replies to comments you've made in other people's LJs? That would be SO useful....
Look carefully before you reply. There is a place to respond to the original post, and then there is a way to respond to other people's comments. If you have never heard back on something you thought you might have heard back on, you may have responded to a comment and not the original post.
The only notifications I get are for people responding to my posts in my own journal.
If I post in someone else's journal (like yours, for instance), I have to remember which friends' posts I responded to and go back on my friends' page, find the original post by my friend, and open that up to see if my comment got any responses.
Is there a way to mark my posts in other people's journals so that I get email when someone responds to those?
Or, even better, a way to mark friends' posts in their own journals and get email when anyone posts a comment there? Say f'rinstance that I'm really interested in this post of yours and want to see other people's input. Is there a way to mark this post of yours so that I get the same emails you're getting when anyone posts a reply?

I think it depends on what design they have for their LJ. Some designs give you many options. And of course, they can just post but not have any comments allowed. Let me show you sometime.
A couple showed up today, but none of the replies to this post, for example, made it to my mail drop. Cabin 77 says she'll have a whole bunch show up overnight, even though she comments throughout the day, and sometimes people respond to her immediately, according to the time stamp.
I'm still getting the notifications, too. But my friends page just seems to update maybe twice a day. I'll log in around 8:00 p.m. and there will be nothing and the next morning I'll see that people posted all day the previous day, but I didn't get them until the following morning. Strange. And frustrating!
