Not enough time for anything --

Including LJ, since I've had car problems (over $800 -- can you say, Merry Xmas from W?) and I'm going down into a Herx sequence (later, you can hear the tale of the cheesecake...) but I did take a blog break, looking for good news -- and instead found something I find rather amusing. It's about Conservapedia. Here are their stats for their site. Of their 19,576 pages or "legit content" we have the following:

Conservapedia statistics

There are 45,034 total pages in the database. This includes "talk" pages, pages about Conservapedia, minimal "stub" pages, redirects, and others that probably don't qualify as content pages. Excluding those, there are 19,576 pages that are probably legitimate content pages.

5,905 files have been uploaded.

There have been a total of 37,129,785 page views, and 334,495 page edits since the wiki was setup. That comes to 7.43 average edits per page, and 111.00 views per edit.

Apparently Conservapedia is the Far-Right Christianist online gossip "yellow press" magazine. I'd laugh out loud, but it's just sad. And it does suggest that yes, these people are more worried about gays approaching their teenagers (or themselves) than they are about health insurance, deteriorating highways, the debt -- even the war.

Very Sad.

And as a member of the First Church of DBAA (don't be an asshat/asshole) I think we should tell them that they are indeed being asshats/assholes. These people give me heartburn. People who hate and lie about people for no reason other than their asshattedness or their fear just make me need tums all the time. sigh.

We've got to learn how to avoid the visceral response, here.

Saw Mullins today. I'm descending into Herx -- the tubes are a mess. Sigh. Well -- that answers the question of whether I'm still fighting the infection, or myself. (Or maybe both...)
