Democratic Caucus 2008 Step One --
Precinct 254-D reporting in. Over 300 at caucus. 2:1 split -- 30 Obama delegates, 13 Clinton delegates. For my sins, I am an alternate to the Travis County Convention the end of the month.
Democracy in action. Note to self -- take copy of the Rules of Order to the next caucus, in case the new precinct captain doesn't know them!
Some good news, at least. Potentially bad news -- my over-worked Lyme practitioner is closing her CA office. Not sure yet what this means for me. Bah.....

Someone said 2 -- I think they were joking. But probably not by much. When I lived in DFW, we had something like eight people show up for the Democratic caucus (it was a heavily Republican precinct). Which was a slight problem, because we came to vote for Hart, and the precinct captain thought we should give Dukakis (sp?) some of the delegates, since he was the front-runner.
Which illustrates the problem -- the people didn't want Dukakis -- the DNC did. This time, there are too many of us to sweep us away. We want either Obama or Clinton. Don't offer us bait 'n switch, DNC.

Drat. I sure hope the shots keep me improving. I do not want to start IV with the office in flux.
And now...Tai Chi and bed. Boy, was it a busy day!
