ABFFE to Fight Indiana Store Registration

This law is a DONE DEAL, people. Indiana, always progressive in education, now wants to show everyone that they fight minors being exposed to porn. Note that "'Sexually explicit material' is defined as any product that is 'harmful to minors' under existing law." There goes my next two series, with this kind of definition.

The time to fight is NOW!

ABFFE spokesman Chris Finan said the law is the only one of its kind currently on the books in the country. Calling it "clearly unconstitutional," Finan said ABFFE will urge the Media Coalition to challenge the law at the organization's next meeting on April 9. H.B. 1042 does not go into effect until July, by which time Finan is hopeful the lawsuit will be filed and an injunction issued by the court.

So all book stores in Indiana should stock bibles and register them as pron. Afterall, it's got murder, sex, prostitues, probably some incest in there, song of solomon, or however you spell that.

Leveticus is particularly juicy. Also don't know if I spelled that right.

As are 90% of romance novels, certain published output of special investigator reports on preseidents, Heinlein, and don't forget the self-help books!

Seriously. Books ARE GOOD. Don't hinder the sales of books!! If I were a bookseller in Indiana I would proclaim this as a hinderance to commerce that online retailers do not need to suffer.

An excellent suggestion! Sort of like, if we're going to put labels on records, we gotta put labels on opera. Or plays that are really about venereal disease (when they could not be cured.)

In fact, I think there may be a case of a widow being denied children waiting until her father in law was drunk and let him think her a prostitute? She was right in law for the time, too....

I suspect that the CBLDF (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund) will be watching this as well....

Oh, definitely -- I buy a membership from them every time I have extra money. They seem to be the real stormtroopers on the front lines.
