I'll bet they were from newspaper interviews, or large group affairs where the recording rights are nebulous. You're right, it would be even better. The thing that has me appalled was on The Daily Show recently. Apparently in his authorized biography, he blew up at his wife over a simple "your hair needs combing" kind of comment, and said at least he wasn't "troweling on makeup like a trollop, you c***."

This one may be hard to find out about, as I'd imagine most news outlets would not print that word, even as a quote. (Daily called it "interesting", but it may have been democratic propaganda they were quoting.) I'd like to confirm whether that happened. I don't think I could ever vote for a man who addressed any woman in that manner, much less his wife.

I'm an Obama voter at this point. And trying to move on....
