...and if you poke around a bit on the Internet, you will see what the McCain group does not want you to know:

Sarah Palin is following a spiritual leader who has actively driven villages in Africa into a frenzied state where a person accused of "witchcraft" is driven out or even burned at the stake. This group has even instructed families to drive out or kill their children because they are "witches".

Yes. 21st century, meet 17th century.

Please get this word out to everyone you know who is remotely thinking they should support the McCain/Palin ticket.

Sarah Palin is part of a plan even more hideous than eroding civil liberties, stopping all abortions, harassing gay people and making the diplomatic map of the world black and white (as in black hat and white hat) -- these people have a plan to take over every venue of power imaginable.

That level of irrationality in the 21st century has me totally gobsmacked! I've run across it in occasional conversations, but had hoped that it was just on the fringes. (clutching my garlic bulb and rabbits foot to ward off the loonies) ((maybe the encyclopedia Britannica would be a better ward?))

Here in Texas we had a woman driven out of her town by a "preacher" and his flock. Yelling about a witch was so satisfying that the "minister" chased her into the next town -- where the sheriff stopped him cold, and warned him. He told the woman that every person in his town was entitled to protection from idiots, and to call if there were any more threats of burning down her business.

Her "crime"? Teaching yoga....
