Seriously tempted....

www.LandsEnd.com is having a sale until midnight CST on their women's cashmere sweaters -- mock turtle, regular neck and v neck, solid colors. Regularly 89.99, today $50.00 -- limit 10.

I know, I live in Texas. I am budgeted in negative numbers. I will not be this size forever, the drugs will go away (positive thinking) but....I luv the feel of cashmere. Living in my cedar chest, of course, but still....

**Sigh.**

Lake effect snow in northern Indiana. Today I miss Indiana.

Our local Sears has a store within a store of Lands End. So much stuff on sale!

Not surprising.

No one is spending money. Big business in a panic.

Did it never occur to some business owners that if you threaten our jobs with the depression our parents survived, we'll stop spending what little we have?

I love the upset articles about all the "foolish" people who put their tax incentive in savings or used it to pay down their debt.

I didn't even qualify for a tax incentive. Good thing I pay off my debt every month.

Take a deep breath and repeat after me: I live in Texas. I am budgeted in negative numbers. I will not be this size forever. This feeling will pass. Another deep breath and say it again.

And then, when those things are no longer true, I'll help you scourer the earth for the just right cashmere!

Thank you.

I have deleted the discount link.

There will be another cashmere sweater, someday, with my name on it.

I've even heard of people finding them at GoodWill. Nice ones. The same people who stumble into silk. (Only once, and oh, what a turquoise it is!)

I hope your family has a lovely Thanksgiving. I know you are holiday cookie-mad people, like I used to be. Surely this includes the pie and cheesecake gene?

:~) It might be a fun mission to look at GoodWill!

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. Yes, the cookie gene is alive and well in Bob; I have the Cookie Monster gene. Not a good combination in the same house. He does do cheesecake, too, but I don't have the Cheesecake Monster gene. Lucky, that, eh?

how about a scarf or wrap? or, be very bad and get a throw...

I probably need a scarf, I lose them (except the ancient, loose-weave mohair). We'll see if any money materializes in the next six weeks. I have medical slips to send in.

My friends up north think I'm crazy for being cranky at our warm and sunny weather, but yeah I'm wishing for some cold, nasty grey weather. It just doesn't feel like late November!

Oh and I'm more than willing to encourage the purchase of cashmere, because I love the feel of it too. Feel free to ignore my suggestion. :-)

I am resisting. If things get really bad, and the price drops to $40, they probably have me.

I wanted to move south to get away from ice. So what do I find? No snow -- ice almost every year.
