Bother

It's axiomatic -- I cannot own anything nice without running the risk of breaking it. I momentarily set the lid to my french butter bell in the sink while cooking, and it bumped something -- a muffin pan? A small Pyrex dish? And the porcelain turns out to be more fragile than any. The maker sends stuff to Texas conventions, so I will have to try and stumble into one at a low bid. They're $60 retail, and that should be out of budget, especially for something that isn't heated so I can in theory glue it back on. And use glue to smooth any edges, since if it's ragged, my delicate skin will find it.

Bother!

This was one of the pretty pottery hand crafted ones? They sell generic ones at Ross for ~$4.

Also, still have blender options for you!

Still haven't finished the post about the battle to get to the blenders!

$4 at Ross? Well, I can get one that won't cut me, and turn this into a decoration. I wonder if I have any glue right now that will not dissolve in water?

I got into town for my various appts, and realized I'd left your address at home. I even stopped by to see if Sof had it -- but the house was dark, the rain was getting harder, and I decided to head to the grocery while the getting was good!

Might come in today -- will definitely go in Monday, still another doctor appt.

Life is still rolling at full tilt.

caveat

not all Ross's have them. I can keep my eyes peeled, I know I've seen them more than once in the past 2-3 months.

No worries on the blenders... they'll be here :)

You're one of those people who eyeball stores every couple of weeks, aren't you? I worked with a woman who did that -- shopping was a sport for her. She almost never paid retail for anything, and this was before Costco and Sam's existed.

Royal blue would be great, and pastel blues, greens, and lavenders could also work. I'm not exactly color-coordinating, but for once, if it works with other things, that's a bonus!

My day is getting away from me, so it will be Monday before I get back into Austin proper.

I hope Sof and the kids got their camping outing -- the rain for fierce a few places!

It feels more like

therapy than sport :) Retail therapy!

I'll keep an eye out.
