Maybe I should have been a tattoo artist..... (NOSafe)

After looking at these thirty awesomely bad unicorn tattoos, I realize that I could have been a Player in tats. At least I would shoot people in the foot when they asked for work like this -- or put a very sly joke inside the blasted things. At least I know how to draw a unicorn. (I swear one of these looks like a Furry unicorn....)

The king of badly themed and drawn tattoos, by the way, is interviewed over on the Body Mod site -- he's the guy with the Nazi unicorn on his rear. There's a link down in comments.

Definitely only for children who need to understand that if they must get a tattoo, get one better drawn than these....

I warned you! I think this is enough bad taste for quite a while -- clearly, I need to approach with caution weird things/links in the column I was reading.

OT -continuation of last post - On other possibility is an errant tiny spider. I had my smoke go off int he middle of the night and the service company found a tiny web inside the darned thing. I have since been fanatic about service appointments.

I could hear it by the door downstairs, but the burgler alarm was glowing green. It's off this am -- so I think the door chime for the alarm's power is out. I'll post to the compound about it.

ick. to the nth power. What were the perpetrators ON. Whatever it was it should be banned by international treaty.

Seriously --

I am almost tempted to take this down, but I want kids to understand that if a shop is cheap, the person doing the work may not be an artist but someone "wandering through".

Living in the Texas Hill Country, you see tattoos of all kinds/quality on all kinds of people -- even librarians (tiny ones above ankles) or well-paid computer programmers (celebrated turning 40 by getting a magnificent dragon on his back done by the artist at a place the genius programmer used to manage -- went cross-country to get it done. And it's beautiful, done in the traditional Japanese blues.)

I think of this guy as the "I want another fifteen minutes of fame" type person. Uggh. Glad I don't have to look at them -- and as a reader pointed out, investing in laser tattoo removal might be a good place for a portfolio niche.

I have never loved a drawing of anything enough to want it on my body. Even though I've always loved Celtic knots and roses -- never saw a rose that was both beautiful and looking fresh-picked, and what type of Celtic knot might have changed a lot in twenty years.

Ironically, I have a scar on my body from a birthmark removal and friends tell me it looks like a "ghost tattoo," or the kind that only shows up under black light. So it's my accidental flower, apparently!

The way tattoos age means that they get progressively less attractive (assuming that they started out well!).

Yes --

I've seen this muddiness with most work, especially on military guys (navy guys get all sorts of tattoos related to crossing the equator, etc.) I suspect that people with extremely good diets (maybe 2% of our population, no I'm making it up but I believe it) may keep the majority of the tattoo looking good. I've seen elderly Chinese men with tattoos that still look attractive. But most Americans will not eat the sea nutrient/fermented food -rich diet that probably gets this great skin health.

This is a guess on my part. Six months 95% macrobiotic diet, and my arms are as silky as a month-old baby's.

Now -- could a tattoo artist do these eggs and have the colors stay true? I'm listening! ;^)
