I hate this blasted site. I found an RSS to port LJ, and it showed error codes. So, I changed to default to make sure the feed could work, and then went to go add my own link.

I can't find the #%%^W@! settings again. The settings link on View My Apps just sets instructions, no cosmetics or URLs. There is supposed to be a button for this on my mail page, but either my faltering eyes have a blind spot at its location, or it's not there.

I may delete the blasted thing. People can find me on Facebook......

If you do find a way to send lj posts automatically to myspace, can you let me know? Never did manage to figure that one out myself ...

You must be logged in to see this page, but it's the RSS I used. See if you can reach it. Its logo is simple, a big RSS emblem, and it's called RSS Reader. (In case you need to fish it out of the other zillion apps. It's not done by MySpace.)

It's critical to check the default Google RSS first, before doing your own. When I simply entered my URL, I got the actual LJ site as my background to the feed, but a lot of error code typed across it. I had left the background box on MySpace as transparent -- and the style from LJ tried to come through.

For the feed itself, this worked:

Just substitute your handle.

So, I picked what I thought were readable text/background/link colors, for the time being, and got it up.

If it's driving you nuts, once you've installed it, do not go to "Settings". Go to "Visit app" right next to it. (The tiny links under RSS reader.) This gets you back to playing with URLs as your feed.

Thanks so much! When I have a bit more breathing space I'm going to go try this--last I tried, myspace couldn't even read rss feeds, but that was a while ago.

Have been thinking of getting rid of my myspace, but if I can send lj posts there, I may keep it ...

I hate MySpace as well - I have one, but I ignore it until I have a friend request or a message that isn't something that looks like spam. ^_^ I much prefer Facebook - the change in interface a few months ago was quite annoying, but it is still better than MySpace if only because there is no embedded music on people's profiles.

And now that I know you are on Facebook, I'll try to find you there!
