I used to know someone from England who made his living as a translator in Norway. I have an e-mail inquiry off to him; if the address I had for him is still good, I might have some real information shortly.

Here's more information from a different source. Apparently it may have been a failed Russian missile test, but there are still some questions. At any rate, definitely not Photoshop -- there are multiple pictures taken from different locations by different people.

The video was quite interesting. Yes, I could see it as a rocket stage spewing fuel as force spun it. I find it uncomfortable that the Russians are testing ICBMs -- and that they are failing their tests is a PR thing that might make Russia feel a need to be muscular.

Coincidence that they launched it the morning of the presentation of the Nobel Peace Prize?
