First check --

Well, yesterday friends looked at some hats I was thinking of taking down to Buffalo Exchange in hopes of getting some money for them. The consensus was that I could get real money from a vintage shop, or on www.Etsy.com, and I should brush them up, photograph them, and take the plunge. Someone had mentioned that people would pay $100 for something like that. Well, I checked out some vintage hats on there in good condition, and they go for $15 -$50, looks like.

*Sigh* I thought I had a month of rent possible from this, but don't think I'll do that well, even if all of them sell. Have a few pieces of clothing, too. Still worth doing. I have the name of the model who owned them, so that might be worth up to $5.00 more on something.

And it will teach me how to use Etsy, for when I finish some of my shadowboxes. So -- double value!

And thanks to those who suggested it, and are helping with it. I have an entrepreneur modeling for me -- exciting!

When you get the listings up, let me know the link(s)(reply to this comment w/ them) and I'll ♥ your shop/listings and tell people. :-)

I will remember to announce them! They are in good shape -- not pristine, but very good. And having been owned by a model, even a model from the 20s and 30s, is kind of fun.

I think I will offer them as 100% vintage, but include new veil material on ones where the veil has a hole or two in it. Some people care, some prefer it be unaltered.
