Feral chair sighting....
W was driving me down to pick up my car at the dealership, and we saw a plastic molded chair laying on its side close to the right lane of MoPac Loop 1. Some of you may have seen Smithsonian's article on these chairs in the last year or so--they're everywhere, all shapes and sizes. I immediately said one had obviously escaped, and soon we'd have a wild herd of chairs in Austin, TX. Not too far-fetched, because we have a flock of some form of parakeets here--why not chairs? "Feral chairs," W murmured, and we agreed it was only a matter of time...
Good news--the belt that was installed incorrectly in March had not suffered for its sojourn in the wrong position, and I got out for the price of a cheap oil change. Think I'll have the tires rotated, too--looks like I will be driving to Panda*Monium in November. Airfares are already over $220--I'd rather save that money for a ticket at Christmas.
Editing a friend's manuscript (boy, does she Owe...) and expecting a fellow writer for tea at 2:00 pm--a rare treat for both of us. RMT clients tonight--
Threatening clouds overhead, along with cloudbursts and impressive thunder. No flood in the garage yet...
Eyes very tired--between not sleeping so long with tooth and other concerns, and W being ill, sleep sounds very good at just about any moment!
